Westin Hotel

The Westin Hotel is a 26 story concrete structure built as part of the Rhode Island Convention Center. PRM supplied over 10,000 cubic yards of concrete for the hotel's superstructure. Three different mix designs were used for this project's concrete requirements, including a 4,000 psi/48-hour strength design and an 8,000 psi lightweight design using normal aggregates. Mix design precision was critical in maintaining the schedule throughout a typically inclement Rhode Island winter. Adding to the Providence skyline, this high-rise project is another example of PRM's excellent workmanship.
